Set in a 1901 Modernist building in Barcelona’s historic Eixample district, this home bears the traces of different eras. Rather than removing the Neoclassical layer added 70 years ago, the project integrates it, using colour —or its absence— to reveal the different layers of its history. This dialogue with the past is complemented by a flexible layout that can transform a seven-bedroom home into two independent apartments, adapting to a family that can shift from 2 to 14 occupants.
