Circle Pit

Circle Pit by Studio Clash is a demountable community stage and spiral staircase installation constructed around four toon trees in a valley of Zibo, China. Four toon tree seeds once took root beside a solitary rock, gradually growing into four large trees encircling the stone. This natural formation became the starting point of Circle Pit. The installation takes its name from the "circle pit" of metal music culture, symbolizing circular interaction and collective energy flow. The 7.2-meter diameter dynamic spiral functions both as stepped seating for gatherings and a stage for events.
