Longhua Temple Tower Shadow

Renovated from a civil air defense project, this urban micro-renewal creates a pure spiritual space through minimal design intervention. A hidden spiral staircase leads to reorganized interiors with a new facade system. Above, a light-transmitting glass beneath a mirror-like water feature captures the dynamic shifts of seasons and weather. By utilizing architectural blank-leaving and the interplay of natural light, the design embodies Zen. It serves as a healing node for meditation, reading, and public art, seamlessly connecting the material and spiritual worlds.
