Three Whimsical Trees transforms a conventional 3-storey rectilinear kindergarten into a biophilic vertical forest, inspired by the beautiful row of trees framing the site. By removing the false ceiling to maximise the full height of the pitched roof and lining it with acoustic wooden panels, the design creates a dramatic, light-filled vertical volume. Three monumental curved tree structures are inserted to connect the floors with climbing routes, hidden nooks, and enchanting treehouses. These organic forms turn architecture into an immersive play landscape, fostering child-led exploration.
