Bayshore Park transforms a 20-acre former golf course into a resilient public park organized around a stormwater retention lake. An 85-acre watershed directs neighborhood stormwater into the lake, reducing pollution entering Biscayne Bay while creating a new setting for recreation, ecology, and community life. Soil excavated from the lake is reused to shape the park’s landforms, reducing cost and environmental impact. The project transforms vital infrastructure into a civic and ecological amenity demonstrating the designer’s role as stewards of the land and environmental resilience advocates.
