In the incredible natural context of Fernie, British Columbia, the 3 Peaks House project sought to reconstruct an existing eclectic home to meet its growing family's changing lifestyle. The revised home pays homage to the historic charm of the original house, but introduces unexpected contemporary moments such as the new vaulted upper level and massive dormer windows. The expansive scale and carefully placed windows frame views to three significant contextual mountains outside the home, but in this case I was just as interested in capturing the true scale of the transformed attic space within.
