Melbourne Metro

Melbourne's new metro line opened in 2025. Made up of 5 new stations, each has it's own unique identity and architecture. Designed by a collaboration between RSHP, Hassell and Weston Williamson, the stations have a shared architectural language, whilst still responding to the character of each precinct. The design moves between transport infrastructure, public artwork, way finding, light and urban identity. My approach was to spend time moving through the stations, understanding them as physical spaces and how they come to life as connective public spaces.
