Casa Da Musica designed by Rem Koolhaas with OMA was completed in 2005. It's a concert hall in Porto, Portugal conceived as both a cultural institution and a civic space. The building sits as a monumental concrete mass that opens up through glazed openings to connect performances spaces back into the city. Inside I explored the interior geometry, with a maze of angular liminal spaces connecting to rooms of different shapes and sizes with different colours and materials in each. The series explores movement through the interior architecture, an unfolding sequence of cultural spaces.
