Set in Hang Gang Park, SMLXL reactivates the former coke-quenching tower as a flexible performing arts centre. Its name defines a double idea: Experimental Lightweight Modular Surface and variable scale from S to XL. A continuous CLT performance platform, supported by prefabricated service volumes and suspended truss structures, becomes an open grey space able to host theatre, concerts, rehearsal, public events and open-air cinema. Rather than a fixed building, the project proposes an adaptable cultural infrastructure that preserves industrial memory while generating new collective urban life.
