The body does not adapt to this stool—the stool moves with the body. Flapping Stool supports natural everyday movements and a wide range of postures. Its design draws on beauty in utility and kikujutsu, a traditional geometric method used in Japanese architecture. The legs use shihou-korobi, splaying diagonally at 10 degrees for stability and rigidity. A 40 mm solid-wood seat is shaped by hand to fit the body. Precisely machined structural parts balance a one-of-a-kind presence with production repeatability.
