Block 7 is a downtown revitalization project in Redding, California, replacing the parking structure of a defunct shopping mall. The development includes a 5 story office building leased by a local community college, a 5 level parking garage with brise soleil and solar panel array, 20 market rate housing units with retail space at street level (unbuilt) and 78 units of net zero affordable housing with retail at the street level. Whistlestop Park is also a part of this project and serves as a green space and gathering place for the community at this cultural center of the city.
