Grand Canal Gateway Bridge

Located in Hangzhou, the bridge unites the 800,000 sqm Seamless City masterplan being built on the east and west banks of the canal. The centrepiece of the public park and river promenade, the bridge and masterplan reconnects the city with its historic Grand Canal and Qiantang River waterfronts, integrating homes, workplaces and community amenities with places for recreation and tourism. Marking the gateway to the canal, the bridge’s walkways and plaza provide vantage points to safely experience the renowned ‘Silver Dragon’, the world’s largest tidal bore.
