Green House is a compact urban residence beside a lively greenway in Tokyo. A terrace and front garden extend domestic life toward the public path, gradually becoming part of the neighborhood landscape. Copper and Japanese cypress form a façade of planes and curves that changes with weather and age. Inside, floors, voids, and niches create a continuous three-dimensional interior, while a vertical void brings light and air through the house. Developed from Japan’s traditional post-and-beam timber system, the project proposes a sustainable prototype for contemporary urban living.
