Located in a late-19th-century building near the Golden Gate in Kyiv, the Gunia Project flagship showroom demonstrates a careful balance between heritage and contemporary design. Faced with limited daylight and strict preservation requirements, the designers reprogrammed historic elements – mahogany cabinets became illuminated display systems, while mirrors, tiles, and minimalist fixtures enhanced spatial depth. The curated layout, hidden circulation, and nature-inspired palette transform constraints into design tools – creating a gallery-like retail space rooted in modern Ukrainian craft.
