McCullough Mulvin Architects’ design for the Central Hotel revitalises an iconic fixture of the Dublin hospitality scene, creating a newly imagined set of spaces with increased footprint and extra bedrooms, modernising the hotel services and making it fully accessible for generations to come. Additional accommodation is carefully grafted to the historic building with a contemporary rooftop extension and interconnected building. An innovative three-storey link-bridge connects elements, facing onto a newly created courtyard – an oasis created from a forgotten space at the heart of the city.
