Located on the heritage-listed York Barracks, this elementary school integrates into the historical context by restoring the site’s original symmetry. The design features a brick facade made of recycled regional bricks, subtly referencing neighboring sandstone through red concrete details. Inside, the building is organized as a cluster school with four light-filled learning hubs, each centered around a "pedagogical middle." While the exterior remains robust, the warm wooden core—featuring solid wood furniture and parquet—creates a high-quality, natural learning environment.
