This residence presents a unified composition oriented toward northern light, framing a vast panoramic landscape. Three long concrete walls, scaled to the site, shape the approach and anchor the building in time. A narrow opening reveals the entrance. Beyond the walls, living spaces unfold across different plateaus, fragmenting functions and viewpoints. SONO was built on mutual trust between architects, builders, and trades, a collaborative model beyond traditional contracts. Its exposed hemlock structure, sourced locally, reflects a responsible and site-sensitive approach.
