Nestled in Zhuhai’s rice fields, the Barn Restaurant reimagines a traditional granary as a dynamic spatial mediator for contemporary rural life. The design utilizes a lightweight steel-timber framework to create a rhythmic dialogue with the landscape. Featuring a central volume with fish-scale metal tiles and glulam arches, the architecture blurs boundaries between the interior and the seasonal fields. Through honest tectonics and poetic light-and-shadow, it bridges vernacular memory with modern functionality, serving as a visual landmark for agritourism and regional revitalization.
