Gogol Street lies at the heart of a city of one million, shaped by complex topography and historic buildings with active ground floors. The project transforms the street into a pedestrian-oriented multi-purpose boulevard. A 3-metre level difference creates three zones: traffic, leisure and a pedestrian route with cycle paths. A retaining wall evokes cliffs, its ledges becoming landscaped terraces. The focal point is the underground car park entrance, emerging from the paving like a rock. Beneath it, parking space doubles as a bomb shelter, reflecting life in a city at war.
