The Contemplative Commons is a biophilic, pan-university center for immersive, experiential, and participatory learning. The 57,000 sqft building hosts multipurpose studios for performances, assemblies, and mind-body practices. A research wing supports in-context research in innovative sensory spaces, such as the visualization studio and the Ninfeo installation. Aesthetically and physically integrated with the university’s historic grounds, its ethos—fostering flourishing through contemplation and biophilic design—is a part of daily student life.
