One Helix is a 6,515 m² life science workplace near Amsterdam UMC, designed by UNS for Breakthrough Properties and Neogene Therapeutics, part of AstraZeneca. Bringing laboratories, offices and shared amenities together, the project applies a whole life carbon approach in which sustainability shapes the architecture itself. Net energy positive, adaptable and designed around user wellbeing, One Helix shows how research environments can meet demanding technical requirements while providing a healthy, supportive place to work. Its custom facade shading improves comfort and daylight quality.
