Reinterpreting Griffintown's historic urban fabric, Quartier Général combines a robust brick podium and a light contemporary crown into a layered composition that bridges past and present.
Quartier Général reinterprets Griffintown's historic urban grain through a contemporary residential block shaped by porosity, public space, and contextual architecture. Organized as three distinct volumes inspired by the site's historic parcel structure, the project creates a network of publicly accessible pedestrian passages, gardens, and gathering spaces. Acting as a mediator between heritage buildings and recent developments, it reinforces neighbourhood identity while offering a contemporary model for urban collective living.
