Edgar Allan Poe - Ariadna Polo
Located in Polanco, Mexico City, the Edgar Allan Poe building, originally built in 1957 as office space, has been transformed into a residential complex for short-term stays. Preserving its structure, including columns and service cores, the project redefines interiors, façades, and materials to reduce environmental impact while retaining its architectural legacy. The building now offers compact units of 30–45 sqm across seven levels, designed for efficient urban living. A responsive façade mediates light, noise, and views between a quiet street and a busy avenue, creating a balanced relation.
