Inhabiting Lima means coexisting with a sacred cosmos and a desert transformed by pre-Hispanic hydraulic engineering. The Huaca building emerges as a silent resistance against territorial amnesia. Facing the Surco Canal, the project challenges urban hostility through voluntary setbacks, reconnecting with the valley’s cultural and natural landscape. Through a public xerophytic threshold and a pedestrian zaguan-ramp, the architecture dissolves vehicular dominance, offering a porous and flexible interface that invites the community to redwell upon the deep layers and the sky of the city.
