Congregation Emanu-El

Congregation Emanu-El’s thoughtful reconstruction of their historic courtyard building adds modern innovative spaces that respect the traditions of the 100-year-old Temple. From the exterior, the building appears unchanged, while on the inside, the transformation embraces openness, connections, and reflection—both literal and figurative. The original entry procession is restored, and a welcoming lobby leads to a reconstructed open-air courtyard, drawing visitors directly towards the Sanctuary. Two stories of community spaces wrap the courtyard to serve the Congregation for the next 100 years.
