Exterior view of the complex
This renovation of Alejandro de la Sota and Juan Capella's 1970s Computer Centre (1972-77) returns the building to its radical origins by stripping away non-original additions. Inspired by an original sketch, the project creates ten "light wells" that reach the second basement, transforming the underground into bright, contemporary spaces. The deteriorated "Module 33" façades were meticulously reconstructed to meet modern codes while preserving their original lightness. Finally, a new, respectful glass volume and a lush garden integrate the complex into an urban oasis.
