Building Facade/Design by Tenon Design
Tenon Design defines this cliffside hotel not as conventional hospitality, but as a relic of "Future History." Perched beside the 2,000-year-old Great Wall of Qi, it is a precise intervention into billion-year-old rock formations. Rejecting superficial decor, raw geology shapes the space, pairing brass, micro-cement, and black oak with jagged cliff faces—even showers drilled into living rock. The design moves from vast geometry to intimate cave retreats, framing ancient ruins as living art. Qingchuanshang questions the boundary between human habitation and geological time.
