In Toronto’s Humber Bay Shores, this project advances small-scale intensification through adaptive reuse. A former single-storey printing plant becomes a daylit workplace hub, preserving employment space and supporting economic diversity. The retained structure is organized around a central corridor, with a raised glazed “lantern” bringing light deep into the plan. Former loading doors become entrances, improving access, while material upgrades, operable windows, and shared amenities enhance performance, inclusivity, and collaboration.
