Weaving a New Pathway Through Northern S. Erasmo

The project proposes a series of low-impact interventions in the northern part of Sant’Erasmo Island, where microtopographic variations, cultural landmarks, and vital ecosystems converge. It weaves fishing grounds and landing sites, historic fortifications, fertile farmland, and fragile salt marshes into a coherent landscape narrative, addressing the loss of landscape legibility, fragmented access, and the vulnerability of agricultural water systems. A network of paths reconnects historic sites with less accessible ecological cores, suggesting a approach to intervention in the northern lagoon.
