From one pier to a River-city
Taipei’s 131km levees protect the city but sever daily life from the river. "Learn to Float" recasts this static wall into a programmable interface, using water as a medium to safely reconnect people and nature. At Sanjiao-du Pier, our reversible "Tactical Ten" interventions stitch city, levee, and water into a multi-level network. S-M-L floating modules adapt to fluctuating water levels (-50/-100/-150cm), dynamically shifting from waterborne nodes to anchored urban stages for markets and play. Time becomes design as the city breathes with the river. Let's learn to float!
