Los Angeles imports 66 percent of its water from hundreds of miles away, yet coastal fog drifts across the city uncaptured every morning. Atmospheric Springs treats atmospheric cycles as a design driver, retrofitting billboards, parking structures, and transmission pylons with fog-harvesting tech to supply irrigation, aquifer recharge, and drinking water while cooling the urban microclimate. Two technologies offer a globally transferable framework: low-tech mesh, proven rurally but never at urban scale, and high-tech electrostatic panels, never applied to fog harvesting anywhere.
