I see the old city not as a place to be replaced, but as a landscape of accumulated everyday traces. Through fieldwork and watercolor drawings, I explored the alleyways, fragmented facades, and urban voids of Taichung, where local residents and Southeast Asian migrant communities have shaped the city together. Instead of filling these spaces with new architecture, I propose an open framework that preserves existing memories while allowing people to continuously transform, adapt, and redefine their shared environment.
