With a magnitude 7.5 earthquake expected to cause severe destruction in Istanbul, Woodular Living explores permanent post-earthquake housing through a modular CLT system that brings structural resilience, environmental performance and everyday life into a single framework. A timber exoskeleton provides seismic stability while freeing the interior for adaptable plug-ins and shared living configurations. Passive environmental strategies improve thermal comfort, while modular delivery supports rapid reconstruction.
