The independent Drake Hotel on Toronto’s Queen Street West has become a cultural hub for locals and visitors, known for its art installations, rooftop Sky Yard, and Drake Underground music venue. The new Modern Wing captures the dynamic evolution of The Drake, told through new layers of architecture that honour the building's history while strengthening its presence along Queen St. The addition adds 32 hotel rooms, a Rooftop Suite, and terrace to the site, and connects to the existing hotel through a new ground floor main lobby—conceived as an extension of the sidewalk and public realm.
