HCC Busan is an adaptive reuse of a mundane commercial building completed in 1996. While celebrating some of the peculiar structural heritages left on the building from previous renovations, a full facelift transforms the building to become more organic and natural befitting to the global outdoor brand, Helinox. It houses retail and event spaces on the lower levels connected by a new spiral staircase and an urban outdoor park floating above the parking lot. Upper levels include offices, seminar rooms, and a gallery. Custom-made curved bricks clad the façade, undulating like the ocean waves.
