Following the design concept of “Consistency of ‘Qi’, harmony but dissimilarity”, the design team worked on the layout, form, space and details to incorporate the new buildings into the historical context. 1. Courtyard layout that integrates with the historical environment: 11 distinctive courtyards are organized on the site, with a layout blending into the historical environment. 2. Undulating roofs that recreate the scene of rolling mountains in the ancient paintings: The project combines triangles with pitched roofs to echo with the nearby historical building complex.
