Casa KIKI

Casa Kiki is located in Lomas de Chapultepec, a neighborhood developed at the same time as the Condesa was consolidating its centrality within the expanding urban sprawl. It was here, in a “post-pandemic” Mexico City and in the midst of an urban planning crisis. The 304-square-meter structure was showing clear signs of deterioration after a series of alterations over a period of 90 years. The house’s orientation was a major problem, as it was designed without proper consideration of southern sunlight. The house was approached as an existing structure that needed adaptation.
