Located at the historic junction of Ladder Street and Upper Lascar Street in Hong Kong, Vertical Bazaar transforms a 2,668 sq. meter vacant rest area into an urban scaffold. This spatial intervention reimagines Hong Kong's iconic Pai Dong (street stalls) by integrating them with the sloping terrain of Lascar Row, creating a dynamic vertical marketplace. The project targets local residents, tourists, artists, and antique collectors, offering a fresh take on street culture through layered cultural hubs, leisure platforms, and public theaters.
