Committed to revitalizing and serving the BAM Cultural District, The Ashland imbues a visual design identity celebrating downtown Brooklyn. In the overall evolved program, a large amount of space is dedicated to common amenities, which were a priority. These curated spaces overlap naturally internally and from interior to exterior, as would the streets and alleys of a neighborhood encouraging people to become their own neighborhood. Furthering the notion to highlight Brooklyn culture, local artisans are celebrated throughout for the fabrication of custom furniture pieces, lighting and artwork.
