The low ceiling of the entrance hall leading through to the living room gives a big contrast to the five-metre-high ceiling in the living room. The positioning of the wall highlights and reinforces the interplay of lines in this space. With navy blue as the predominant colour in the living room, it highlights the richness of the dark wood, exposes the columns to enhance the height of the room. Copper red is used in the kitchen area to make the room feel warmer and cozier. The contrast of dark timber and light finishes are sustained throughout the apartment. The client’s arts are showcased in the minimalist living room whilst guests can relax and be entertained in the kitchen area. The kitchen area is deliberately located facing the garden, the folding doors create a strong connection between the indoor and stunning outdoor scene.
