In healthcare institutions, the quality of life is now determined by insurers. Heelhuis does the radical opposite: Heelhuis is completely designed from the patient's point of view. The experiences that fellow student Boukje, who was diagnosed with a serious illness, had in the hospital formed the basis. In Heelhuis, patients are called temporary residents, they have a view of both the quiet Vondelpark and the bustling Overtoom. They can live autonomously and determine for themselves how far they allow visitors to go in their environment. Or just look for the bustle in the communnal spaces.
