In Penghu, the proverb “To marry, first carry three years of old coral stones” reflects islanders’ collective labor and knowledge. After fishing declined, Hujing Islet shifted to tourism, but fast-consumption tourism has weakened cultural depth and settlement continuity. Local beliefs still sustain emotional and spatial ties. This study proposes a modular construction system linking public infrastructure with local industry. By engaging daily life and traditional craftsmanship, it rebuilds a circular model for offshore islands, using architecture for cultural regeneration and spatial repair.
