A new architectural morphology acts as a bold manifesto, supporting the transformation of ecosystems and creating a stable living environment for people, offering safe shelter during natural disasters through natural circularity.
The primary school in Mai Dan Village, Quang Tri, built 30 years ago, is increasingly threatened by natural disasters. During the 2020 floods, water levels nearly reached the second floor, exposing critical safety risks for the community shelter. The new design aims to transform the school into a resilient fortress, serving both educational and emergency functions. Flexible classrooms will allow quick conversion into emergency shelters when needed. The dual natural circulation strategy will help occupants remain comfortable while enhancing community resilience during flood seasons.
