Uji Station’s design embodies the essence of modern Japanese brutalism—bold, sculptural, and elegantly minimal. Its sweeping concrete arches, circular voids, and clean linear forms establish a spatial rhythm that feels both dramatic and refined. A true brutalist landmark, the station was crafted by local architect Hiroyuki Wakabayashi. Situated in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, it stands as the terminal of the Keihan Railway’s Uji Line.
