Palácio da Justiça in Lisbon, Portugal was completed in 1970, and designed by architects Januário Godinho and João Andresen. This striking Modernist building was originally conceived to be one of four buildings, of which only two were completed. Placed on the highest point of the city, it was given equal importance as Castelo de Sao Jorge. Its embrace of public space through refined ornamental details and the relationship created with the outside and daylight are clear allusions to transparency.
