Dr Dong Yi

Mr. Dong Yi has been devoted to the research of architectural design methods and the creation of public buildings in recent years, and insisted on the parallel development of design teaching and practice. His open architectural practice has won more than 10 awards including the ASC Architectural Creation Award and the Architecture Creation Award of ASSC, as well as more than 20 domestic and foreign awards including China Architecture Media Award, Building of the Year Awards, DFA Design for Asia Awards, Gold Nugget Grand Award, A&D Awards, etc. His works have been reported by many well-known architectural media at home and abroad. He has published more than 30 related papers, and a book named Painting with Building. He has presided over the design and completion of a series of representative works, such as SCO Qingdao Summit Media Center, Asian Sports Village International Zone for The 19^th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, cultural environment renovation project of Nanjing Confucius Temple, renovation and renewal of Shanghai Yuyuan Mart, activation and updated design of Hanling Village, Dongqian Lake, Ningbo. Meanwhile, he also guided students to win more than 10 important awards for student competitions at home and abroad, including YTAA, the first place in the “Vertical Cities Asia” International Design Competition, and the first prize of “TEAM20 Competition & Symposium”.
