Lawrence Kim is an architect and professor at Pusan National University and the director of A+U LAB. In his career spanning over 25 years, he has completed a wide variety of project types across the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East serving a diverse and prominent list of clients including international conglomerates, governments, development companies, universities, hotels, hospitals, cultural institutions, and non-profit organizations.

Lawrence is recognized as a thoughtful and innovative designer. In the past ten years, his projects have received over 30 design awards and honors such as American Institute of Architects Design Award, Society of American Registered Architects Design Award, The Plan Award, ID Best of Year Award, The American Architecture Prize, and been published in numerous publications as well as various magazines and newspapers.

In addition to his professorship at Pusan National University, Lawrence Kim has lectured at numerous international universities and frequently serves as a juror for awards programs and design competitions. He was recently appointed as a public architect for the city of Busan, and currently serves on the advisory boards of multiple national and city government agencies for design and construction including Busan Metropolitan Government, Busan Metropolitan Corporation, Busan Port Authority, Busan Metropolitan Transportation Corporation, and the Public Procurement Service, Ministry of Strategy and Finance in Korea.
