Leone Lorrimer Architect / Strategic Consultant

As an independent consultant, Leone Lorrimer provides strategic advice at the early stages of large scale projects, optimizing design quality, user experience and value.

Leone Lorrimer is a graduate of Sydney University and the North London Polytechnic (now London Metropolitan University). Her career as a major projects architect and strategic planner includes high profile projects in Australia and internationally.

As a Director of Woods Bagot for 19 years, she led a range of innovative workplace projects showcasing enduring design quality and new ways of working. Key projects include the multi-award winning Qatar Science & Technology Park, Doha, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (Canberra Medallion) and the UTS Faculty of Information Technology, Sydney (joint winner of the AIA Sulman Award).

In 2007-2008, Leone was appointed Director – Planning and Development for Sama Dubai, responsible for the Project Review Committee’s oversight of 34 international projects including iconic towers, new cities and resort residential projects in Asia, the Middle East and Australia.

From 2009-2011 Leone was Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development & Investment Company’s Design Manager for Saadiyat Island, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi (Ateliers Nouvel), the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi (Gehry Partners) and the Zayed National Museum (Foster + Partners), as well as master planning and other signature buildings.

From 2012 to 2018, Leone Lorrimer was Global CEO of dwp | design worldwide partnership. Leone has authored numerous publications, research papers and articles.
