Steve Trstenjak

Gensler / Design Director

Steve’s contribution to architecture has been widely recognized in his 30 years of experience in the industry. Prior to his current role as Design Director at Gensler, he worked with several international practices including Foster + Partners, Woods Bagot and Harry Seidler and Associates, delivering substantial and international award-winning projects across the globe. He also established his own practice, Blue Architects and Designers which enabled him to discover his own voice in architecture and further his passion for design and innovation.

Steve’s focus is on people as users of the built environment. He believes that architects have a responsibility to positively impact and enhance people’s lives and the environment they live in. This responsibility extends to the global agenda to ensure future generations inhabiting our planet will benefit from the same resources we all currently enjoy.

Steve Trstenjak is frequently invited to speak at conferences and is involved with universities both locally and internationally where he actively plays a mentoring role.
