Peter Cerno completed his studies in architecture at the Technical University in Bratislava and in interior design at the College of Fine Arts in Bratislava and West Berlin. He worked for several years in architectural offices as a conceptual architect in Czechoslovakia. Then he became an expert consultant in Kuwait where he worked on several projects including schools, housing estate, private villas, and a silicon factory. His work has been awarded in international competitions in Bahrain (BCC Center) and Saudi Arabia (Recreation Center Jeddah).
 
After emigrating to Germany, he worked on various projects: Hotel Adlon***** in Berlin, Hotel Taschenbergpalais***** reconstruction in Dresden, bank-skyscraper building in Frankfurt, residential buildings in Potsdam. He also designed the interiors of golf clubs, the Bambi TV-scene and the Rowing World Cup medal.  
 
These successes and experiences led to the establishment of his own architecture office, Cerno+Architekten, in 1997. The field of activity covers new buildings as well as renovation and conversion of historical buildings. Peter worked on the reconstruction and extension of Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras*****, the Spa House**** in St. Pleso and the development and renovation of Kuwait Towers. International projects characterized his architecture firm, in the Arab world, the Far East and the eastern european countries. His firm work has been recognized in several international awards and competitions (FIABCI- Spain, AAHS- USA, BEFFA- Czech Rep.,WTA- UK, Building of the Year- CEZAAR- Slovakia, AAP- USA). The work of his architectural office was exhibited in the well-known Architekturgalerie in Munich.
 
Peter has been invited to lectures, workshops at universities, and professional conferences. His projects are published in international architectural magazines.
